Beef & Cabbage Stir Fry ⁠

Ingredients:⁠
Beef Marinade⁠
350g beef (thinly sliced)⁠
½ tbsp soy sauce⁠
½ tbsp oyster sauce⁠
1 tsp Shaoxing wine (optional)⁠
½ tbsp sugar⁠
½ tsp baking soda⁠
½ tbsp cornstarch⁠
⁠
Stir Fry Sauce⁠
⅓ cup water⁠
1 tbsp soy sauce⁠
1 tbsp oyster sauce⁠
½ tbsp Shaoxing wine (optional)⁠
½ tbsp sugar⁠
1 tbsp cornstarch⁠
⁠
300g cabbage, torn⁠
3 cloves garlic, grated⁠
3 fresh chillies, chopped (optional)⁠
3 tbsp cooking oil⁠
⁠
Method:⁠
Marinate the beef, Mix beef with all marinade ingredients. Set aside for 15–20 minutes. Make the sauce, in a small bowl, whisk together all stir fry sauce ingredients. Set aside. Cook the cabbage, heat 1 tbsp oil in a large pan or wok. Stir fry cabbage for 2 minutes until slightly softened but still crisp. Remove and set aside. Cook the beef, add 1 tbsp oil to the pan.⁠
Sear beef on high heat for about 1–2 minutes until just cooked.⁠
Remove and set aside. Bring it together, add remaining oil. Sauté garlic and chillies for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir sauce and pour into pan. Cook until thickened. Return beef and cabbage to the pan and toss until coated.⁠

Serve hot with rice 🍚
